Set to ‘Eire’ in Australia on 28 August, Tourism Ireland is launching its new global campaign – ‘Fill your heart with Ireland’.
Rolling out over the coming weeks, the refreshed Tourism Ireland initiative celebrates the ways in which Ireland “fills the hearts” of visitors and locals as it invites travellers to experience the island for themselves.
In the new ads, tourism advocates share the things they love about Ireland as well as what they think makes the country different from other destinations.
At the heart of it, the ads aim to bring out Ireland’s characters and culture through personal anecdotes told by its stars, locals and visitors – and in a nation famed for its storytelling, there are no shortage of tales.
In the first series of ads, actors Sharon Horgan from Bad Sisters, and Saoirse-Monica Jackson and Jamie-Lee O’Donnell from Derry Girls share their stories.
“To me, the Irish people are the funniest in the world … they just are,” Horgan says at the start of the first video.
The new ads will run across multiple channels including Video on Demand, Netflix and online, and feature on Tourism Ireland’s social media platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and TikTok.
Ireland’s “true strengths”
“We are delighted to roll out our new ‘Fill your heart with Ireland’ campaign this week in key market Australia,” Tourism Ireland Regional Manager Australia & New Zealand Sofia Hansson said.
“The new advertising creative highlights the true strengths of the tourism offering in Ireland including rich and authentic experiences, incredible landscapes, and the warm welcome that awaits Australian visitors.
“This renewed campaign is expected to encourage Australian holidaymakers to put the island of Ireland on their list for travel in late 2023 and into 2024.”
Earlier this year, Tourism Ireland held its first roadshow down under in four years, following nine days of activities in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland.
