In a bid to ensure younger fliers enjoy fun travels, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has launched its first short animation film for kids about Bluey, the little KLM plane.
The very cute “Bluey The Movie” is being shown on the KLM YouTube channel and onboard all intercontinental KLM flights from June 2015 onwards with the hope that Bluey the movie takes off.
With a look and feel not a million Frequent Flyer points away from the Disney movie ‘Planes’, the animated short is the first in a series of films about the little aircraft with Bluey.
In the films launch Bluey, his father and his friend Windy embark on a fun and exciting adventure at the annual Zundert flower parade in the Netherlands.

Bluey was created and launched by KLM as a mascot last November for young children travelling with KLM. Since then, the little plane has become extremely popular with younger travellers flying on the Dutch airline.
Several Bluey products are also available to buy, ranging from keycords, trolleys and card games, to a fun Bluey meal box for children on international flights.Children who are travelling unaccompanied by an adult can also use the newly renovated KLM Junior Jet Lounge at Schiphol. The play area in Lounge 2 at Schiphol Airport is also currently being revamped to ensure Bluey becomes part of the scene.
The airline is renowned for it’s clever Social media strategy and high level of engagement with it’s customers.
