Ready to soar: FCTG Independent takes off for Singapore Conference

Flight Centre Travel Group's (FCTG) Independent network is gearing up for its annual conference at the PARKROYAL Beach Road in Singapore, the first to be held overseas for three years, from Friday, 24th to Sunday, 26th March.

Flight Centre Travel Group’s (FCTG) Independent network is gearing up for its annual conference at the PARKROYAL Beach Road in Singapore, the first to be held overseas for three years, from Friday, 24th to Sunday, 26th March.

After an enforced overseas hiatus due to the pandemic, FCTGs annual network conference is back with a bang for 2023 in Singapore, attracting over 180 attendees, including over 100 travel consultants from FCTG Independent brands and nearly 50 guests across 27 different suppliers, as well as FCTG Independent leadership and support team members.

With conference sponsorships sold out in just 24 hours, FCTG says the Singapore event is “guaranteed to be one of the most successful events in the network’s history” and an invaluable opportunity for its independent travel consultants to receive business updates, supplier education and networking opportunities.

This year’s conference theme is ‘Soar’, with FCTG saying the message “speaks to the incredible potential and limitless possibilities that lie ahead for the growing FCTG Independent network.”

The independent arm is now marked as the fastest-growing area across all of Flight Centre Travel Group, with the global network consisting of 1,700 independent agencies globally, with over 400 in Australia alone and 87 new agencies already joining the Australian network this financial year.

The conference will also provide an opportunity to showcase FCTG’s single sign-on platform, Home, which provides agents with access to all the tools and resources they need in one place to simplify their operations and drive business efficiencies.

The platform has recently reached 1,000 users across its launch markets: Australia and South Africa, with the majority coming from Australia.

FCTG Independent agents will also be briefed on TP Connects, the company’s NDC-ready ticketing platform, which will be launched firstly to Independent agents in the next couple of weeks. FCTG says the platform will be “a game-changer for the FCTG Independent network, allowing consultants to offer even more flexibility and choice to their clients.”
