Home to a rich heritage, vibrant arts and culture scene, lush landscapes, and diverse flavours, the dynamic West Midlands delivers. Perfect for experience seekers everywhere, this region deserves your attention. Let us show you why.

Vibrant Birmingham

Birmingham is a fun city where travellers run out of time before they run out of things to do. It’s the kind of destination where you can be exploring a vibrant art gallery in one moment and dining at a world-class restaurant the next. Where great coffees, lively bars, and cosy cafes vie for attention between canal boat rides, museum visits, nature walks, and splurge shopping trips (especially at the renowned Jewellery Quarter).

To see Birmingham at its most vibrant, coordinate a stay with one of the many spirited festivals or live music shows that fill the stadiums. The city is buzzing!

Cultural Coventry

The 2021 UK City of Culture, Coventry is a destination for arts and culture lovers, as well as the eternally curious (there are so many cool and unusual things to discover).

Only an hour from London and 20 minutes by train from Birmingham, a visit to Coventry is one that affords the opportunity to both step back in time – at the Canal Basin, Coventry Cathedral, and Kenilworth Castle – and look towards the future. The FarGo Creative Hub and Herbert Art Gallery and Museum are must-do stops for the latter.

Shakespeare’s England, Stratford-upon-Avon

Stratford-upon-Avon may be the birthplace of the Bard, but it’s got a few more feathers in its cap to entice visitors. Like 1,000-year-old Warwick Castle, considered Britain’s finest medieval fortress. And the soothing natural springs of nearby Royal Leamington Spa, a whole town seemingly dedicated to relaxation.

Connecting with William Shakespeare while in Stratford-upon-Avon is another West Midland’s must-do. Visit Shakespeare’s family home, his old school room, and, of course, catch a compelling performance at one of the three Royal Shakespeare Company’s theatres.  Plus there is the Shakespeare Gin Distillery – that offers tours and a gin tasting session, as well as a cruise along the river Avon. Hiccup! Count us in.

The heritage-rich Black Country

Only 30 minutes from Birmingham, Black Country is considered the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. It’s home to the Black Country UNESCO Global Geopark; it was awarded this status for its geological and historical heritage.

While visiting Black Country, explore Wolverhampton’s grand 18th-century architecture, get a cultural fix in the market town of Walsall, and see the wildlife that calls Dudley Zoo and Castle home. Peaky Blinders fans will want to stop by the award-winning Black Country Living Museum, too.
