4 Aussie shores are among the most-Instagrammed beaches. Is your fave listed?

Australia is famous for its beautiful beaches and swoon-worthy stretches of sand, so it’s no surprise that they’ve been snapped and shared millions of times on social media. But which Aussie beaches are trending on Instagram?

Collating posts and hashtags on Instagram, luggage storage specialist Bounce listed the top 10 most-popular beaches worldwide. And four Aussie shores made it onto the list.

With a whopping 1.9 million hashtagged posts, Bondi Beach is the hands-down winner. It also topped a TikTok list of the most popular beaches outside the US.

One of Australia’s most recognisable stretches of sand with starring roles in the likes of Bondi Rescue, Bondi Vet and numerous other TV shows, this sparkling crescent beach with its lush headlands, iconic baths and beautiful people is a Sydney standout.

Not to be outdone, Sydney’s Manly Beach came in second on the list, racking up more than 543,520 posts on the app, showcasing the famous surf, Boardwalk and shoreline activities.

The other Aussie shores to make it onto the most popular global beaches on Instagram are Airlie Beach (5) and Whitehaven Beach (8).

These Insta-worthy Queensland beach beauties are the stuff of tropical daydreams, located in the Great Barrier Reef.

With its swirling white sand and brilliant blue water, Whitehaven is often voted as one of the world’s best beaches, while Airlie Beach is a popular holiday hotspot and gateway to the Reef.

Rounding out the top five, Rio’s popular Ipanema Beach (4) ranked high on the list of hashtagged beaches, while Kelingking Beach (3) on Nusa Penida in Indonesia was a surprise entry with 457,000-plus posts.
