Virgin Australia’s Velocity Frequent Flyer program has launched a new offer with Virgin Voyages, allowing Aussies to cash in 79,999 Points for a luxe adults-only sailing (valued at up to $4,642) when the cruise line debuts Down Under from 4 December 2023.
This first-ever Velocity cruise for Points offer with Virgin Voyages is valid for travel between 16 December 2023 and 5 March 2024 on eligible three- to six-night sailings from Melbourne and Sydney.
It comes with free inclusions such as Wi-Fi, food at 20-plus eateries, essential drinks, unlimited fitness classes, entertainment and tips.
The limited-time offer is available to redeem via the Velocity Rewards Store until 5 October 2023.
Velocity members can only take advantage of the cashless cruise offer using their Points and this offer is the first step in the long-term earn and redemption Velocity and Virgin Voyages partnership, set to launch in 2024.
Cruisy offer
It’s also not the first tie-up between the two Virgin companies with the VA’s Middle Seat Lottery gifting free Virgin Voyages cruises to Melbourne passengers last year.
Velocity Frequent Flyer CEO Nick Rohrlach said he expects the cashless kid-free cruises will be snapped up quickly.
