You may have already heard of Fat Bear Week, but if you haven’t it’s amazing and you can vote for your favourite cuddly winner TODAY!

Fat Bear Week is a beloved annual tradition that gives voters around the world a chance to crown the biggest bears at the Brooks River in Katmai National Park.

If you’re felt guilty for that cheeky salted caramel and white chocolate two-scoop ice cream cone you devoured yesterday, these bears are totally going to steal the spotlight from you and all your yummy food binge guilt will be erased.

Basically what happens is these body-positive bears pack on the pounds and eat, eat, eat in preparation for winter in hibernation. The chunkiest bears can tip the scales at nearly half a ton.

Beary impressive, don’t you think?

Then, from Sept. 30 – Oct. 6, animal lovers can go online, marvel at the mass, and make their best guess: Which is the fattest bear of all?

Match-ups are posted daily in a tournament bracket-style, and the ultimate winner is crowned Fat Bear Week champion.

As today is the last day, you can choose your ultimate winner and vote for your most favourite obese ted.

What are you waiting for? Show your support for these lovable wild bears and help crown the champion who – we can only imagine – will be absolutely delighted with the fact humans are getting behind them and cheering on their salmon-catching and pound-piling skills.
