Swiss tennis champ Roger Federer has teamed up with comedian Trevor Noah in a new tourism ad to promote the Grand Train Tour of Switzerland, plus travellers can receive up to two free days added to Swiss Travel Passes for a limited time.

Newly minted Switzerland Tourism Ambassador Roger Federer has previously collaborated with actors Robert de Niro (2021) and Anne Hathaway (2022) in well-received ad spots.

For the 2023 campaign, he stars with best-selling author, producer and philanthropist Trevor Noah who, like Roger Federer, is half-Swiss, half-South African, to position Switzerland as an attractive destination with a focus on rail travel.

The Grand Train Tour of Switzerland, a year-round train journey that combines all of the famous panoramic routes in one rail experience, takes visitors comfortably across 1,280km and eight stages.

From glaciers to lakes and mountains to cities, each stage has a unique character and travellers can customise the duration and itinerary.

There’s the stage from Montreux to Zermatt from the Riviera on Lake Geneva to the mountain of mountains – the famous Matterhorn.

Or the St Moritz-to-Lugano journey from the glaciers to the palm trees, passing through the UNESCO World Heritage route of the Rhaetian Railway.
