New Patagonia treks pair perfectly with Aurora Expeditions’ Antarctic trips

Adventurous travellers can tick off two bucket-list items on the one trip to South America and Antarctica with Aurora Expeditions’ launch of two new 10-day Patagonia treks, commencing from 19 November 2022.

Adventurous travellers can tick off two bucket-list items on the one trip to South America and Antarctica with Aurora Expeditions’ launch of two new 10-day Patagonia treks, commencing from 19 November 2022.

The new itineraries, Patagonia Discovery Trek and Torres Del Paine Explorer allow trekkers to experience everything from the region’s dramatic mountains and valleys with cascading rivers to the glaciers and icy lakes.

The Torres Del Paine Explorer trek stays within the Chilean border and the Patagonia Discovery Trek offers three options to combine an Antarctic sailing with a timely trek; an Argentina return trip; an Argentina-to-Chile itinerary and a Chile-to-Argentina version.

Each guided trek is priced from USD$5,145pp twin-share and limited to 20 hikers max, ensuring immersive small-group opportunities in the spectacular Patagonia region of South America.

Passengers can also save up to five per cent when booking a trek with an Antarctic cruise.

Aurora Expeditions CEO Michael Heath said: “Many of our Antarctic passengers wish to extend their time in South America and these new itineraries are designed to make the most of their schedule.”

“The Patagonia experience complements our comprehensive range of Antarctic itineraries and with two ships, the Greg Mortimer and soon-to-be-launched Sylvia Earle, the 2022/23 season can meet the increasing demand for people to take that once-in-a-lifetime trip.”
