Head south from Adelaide to Mount Gambier and discover the unique, geological wonder of Kilsby Sinkhole. A working sheep farm is not the first place you’d think of when you think of world-class scuba diving sites, however, the Kilsby Sinkhole is just that.

What was once a simple watering hole, has become an amazing natural formation that rivals the cenotes of Mexico. You can take a tour of the sinkhole and learn about its compelling history, snorkel in the glass-like water or take the full plunge and go diving and experience its famous beams of light.

While you’re in Mount Gambier, be sure to pay a visit to the mystical Umpherston Sinkhole. The sinkhole is the result of a collapsed limestone cave and has serious Alice in Wonderland vibes. You could be mistaken for thinking you’ve fallen down the rabbit hole as you meander through the lusciously green oasis. You can even bring a picnic lunch and have your own Mad Hatters tea party!
