Hot on the heels of Virgin Australia’s five-day short-haul sale yesterday, Qantas has countered with its biggest international sale in a year with more than 400,000 seats discounted across the network for six days with return Economy fares from $499.
Qantas’ Red Tail International Sale includes discounted flights on more than 50 routes to almost 30 destinations across Asia, the Americas, the Pacific and the UK.
The sale runs until 10 February 2025 for select travel dates between 5 February 2025 and 15 January 2026.
For one week, travellers can save on flights to Bali, London, Tokyo, Los Angeles, New York City and Palau, one of the airline’s newest destinations, and across all cabin classes.

The sale also includes two new routes launching later this year – Melbourne–Honolulu, which takes off on 1 May 2025, and Darwin–Singapore, starting on 30 March 2025.
Discounted Economy return fares include Sydney and Melbourne to Auckland from $499; Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne to Hong Kong from $999 and Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne to LA from $1,199.
Premium Economy fares start from $3,299 return for Sydney and Melbourne to LA or Sydney to San Francisco. Business Class fares start from $2,799 return for Sydney to Bali.

Discounted seats are also available to book as Classic Plus Flight Rewards. Qantas Frequent Flyers can use their Qantas Points to nab Sydney-London Economy return fares for 99,400 Points (plus $755 in taxes, fees and carrier charges) or Sydney-Bali Economy return fares for 43,100 Points (plus $248 in taxes, fees and carrier charges).
Qantas CEO International Cam Wallace said: “Nearly 10 million Australians travelled overseas last financial year and as the demand continues to grow, we’re making it even easier for customers to explore the world with our major international sale.”
QF recently dropped a 72-hour domestic sale in January 2025.
