Qatar Airways kicks off rockin’ campaign ahead of FIFA World Cup 2022

Qatar Airways has used the popular Queen anthem, "We Will Rock You", in a TVC campaign to unite football fans and soundtrack the unforgettable journeys leading up to the FIFA World Cup held in Qatar in November and December 2022.

As FIFA’s Official Airline Partner, Qatar Airways is using the popular anthem sung in stadiums worldwide to celebrate the universal language of football, connecting global fans through music and innovation.

Fans can view the vibrant and energetic TVC and enjoy an immersive game via the airline’s new VR experience, the Qverse, within Qsuite – Qatar Airways’ award-winning Business Class.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker said: “Our latest commercial expresses our anticipation and excitement for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and captures our own enthusiasm about sports. We are fully geared up to fly global fans to witness the greatest sporting show on Earth.”

With demand soaring and less than three months to go, Qatar Airways has ramped up all-inclusive travel packages, which include match tickets, return flights and accommodation, for fans to secure their place in world football’s biggest event.

The tournament will be held across eight world-class stadiums, including the 80,000-capacity Lusail Stadium, which will host the final.

Qatar Tourism also recently launched a marketing campaign starring David Beckham to showcase the stopover packages available with Qatar Airways.
