It’s no surprise that progressive, edgy Berlin has an art scene that wows. Traditional, innovative, and avant-garde art fills the city’s studios and galleries.

From 19 April to 4 August, distinguished 18th-century painter, Caspar David Friedrich’s Infinite Landscapes, graces the walls of Alte Nationalgalerie. Visitors will enjoy 60 paintings and 50 drawings demonstrating why Friedrich was Germany’s most prominent Romanticism artist.

One of the greatest portrait painters of all time, Frans Hals, will be on display at the Gemäldegalerie Art Museum from 17 July to 3 November. With around 70 works from this 16th-century Dutch artist, this is a drawcard for art lovers.
