The uber cute, world famous Hello Kitty icon turns 45 this year. To celebrate the milestone, we’ve put together a list of the top places to get your Hello Kitty fix.
The sweet white cat with her signature pink bow has diehard fans across the world, and if you happen to be one of them, make sure you add these destinations to your bucket list.
The Hello Kitty Train, Japan Rail
It’s pink, it’s totally cute and ready for service. The super kawaii Hello Kitty Shinkansen by Japan Rail is the stuff of Hello Kitty fans’ dreams. The train is running for a limited time on the Sanyo Shinkansen line, connecting Osaka to Fukuoka.
The cat character appears on the outside of the train in her adorable pink ribbon style, while the the inside of the train has two carriages completely dedicated to the character. This ranges from a Hello Kitty photo booth to seats fitted out with trademark pink Hello Kitty armrests, windows, floors and headrests.
Special activities at Hello Kitty Land, Tokyo
Hello Kitty Land will, of course, be celebrating the anniversary in style.
From now until the end of the year the Tokyo park and her sister park Harmonyland will be hosting special events.
The first of these events will be Sweets Puro, a sweets and strawberries themed celebration which runs until the end of March
Many of Hello Kitty Land’s loveable characters will be dressed in strawberry costumes while there will be SO MANY insta-worthy anniversary photo spots around the park like a strawberry carriage fully decorated with anniversary presents for Hello Kitty, a balcony on a tower draped with ribbons or a big piece of strawberry sponge cake.
Visitors will also have the chance to have their pictures snapped with Hello Kitty dressed in her special 45th anniversary robe, covered in flower petals.
Hello Kitty House, Bangkok
It looks like a pink bomb has exploded inside, and that’s exactly how Hello Kitty fans like it!
The Thailand attraction is home to a cafe, shop and spa all under one roof. The ground floor cafe is the perfect place to dig into Hello Kitty themed desserts and sweet drinks.
The second floor can be used for photos and private functions. Hello Kitty lovers will go crazy for ALL the pink decor in this space.
