How Kenya Airways is taking your flight experience sky high

When one is about to embark on an adventure-filled holiday on the sultry and alluring African continent, the last thing one thinks about is how much fun they’ll have on the flight.

The flight, unless splurging on first class, is usually considered the transit zone. The several hours you’ll have to enjoy before your holiday begins.

However Kenya Airways, the country’s award-winning flag carrier and Sky Team Alliance member that flies to 52 destinations worldwide, is taking its customer service offering up an notch and providing passengers with a taste of luxury and comfort from tip to tail.

Here are five things that’ll make your Kenya Airways flight simply fabulous:

1. You’ll get to take a little piece of home with you

Kenya Airways’ in-flight entertainment is bountiful. However, due to enhancing their technology on board, you’ll be able to switch to your own channel.

That is, for those that want to catch up on episodes of their favourite TV shows, the airline’s entertainment system comes equipped with a USB power port.

The added bonus is that you’ve taken a little piece of home with you without an extra carry on.

2. You’ll experience a taste of luxury, even in Economy class

The class disparity between first, business and economy runs further than a flimsy curtain divider on most airlines.

Nonetheless, Kenya Airways decided to peel open the curtain just a smidgen and provide economy class seats with a premium drinks offer.

A fine glass of bubbly headed toward your next destination? Now that’s worth toasting!

3. You’ll be getting down in Business class

With the introduction of full flatbed seats in Kenya Airways Business Class, we mean you’ll be going all the way down! No more cramped knees and troublesome food trays.

You even have the option of completely switching off by storing away your laptop, in the new laptop stowage provided, and lifting your arm rest which acts as a privacy divider.

This will give you the experience of total, delicious, solitude from takeoff to landing.

4. You’ll surround yourself with youth

Having recently invested in new equipment and a fleet 787 Boeing Dreamliners, Kenya Airways officially has the youngest fleet in the region and there’s more to come.

For passengers, we can agree, that there’s something spectacular about that fresh and new feeling of flying on a brand new carrier.

In way of travel, new is always better.

5. You’ll be flying with an airline that cares

Kenya Airways recently partnered with Ol Pejeta Conservancy, in Kenya, in a last ditch effort to preserve the endangered northern white rhino.

The partnership saw Kenya Airways fly in several international celebrities to meet Sudan, the last remaining northern white rhino, at Ol Pejeta.

The aim of their visit was to bring the plight of the northern white rhino to a wider audience and inspire people across the world to become more involved in rhino conservation by way of donation or a visit to Kenya.

Now that’s something worth writing home about.

You can now fly to Nairobi and beyond to 42 other African destinations from Sydney, Melbourne and Perth via our airline partners Thai Airways, Qantas Airways, Cathay Pacific and China Southern and connecting through Bangkok, Guangzhou Or Hong Kong daily.
