AmaWaterways has introduced AmaAir – a fly-cruise offering for Australian and New Zealand guests, streamlining service and bookings for the entire river cruise journey on select 2026 and 2027 Europe and Asia itineraries.

Travel advisors and travellers can now book international economy flights directly through AmaWaterways’ Sydney-based reservations team.

AmaAir organises flights to fit the river cruise itineraries, along with airport transfers to the ship or hotel, allowing cruisers benefit from competitive airfares and support for an end-to-end booking experience.

In addition, a limited-time Cruise & Fly promotion combines more than 300 river cruise journeys across Europe and Asia with return international airfares through AmaAir, including the 14-night Grand Rhine & Dutch Canals, seven-night Colours of Provence and seven-night Riches of the Mekong itineraries.

AmaWaterways Managing Director Australia & New Zealand Steve Richards said AmaAir will simplify the travel experience and provide greater value and flexibility for both guests and travel advisors.

“With the introduction of our local air services, we’re making it much easier for our guests and travel partners to plan and book a complete journey with confidence,” he said.

“From the moment a booking is made, our local team is there to support every step, from flights through to the river cruise experience itself.”

Richards encouraged travel advisors to take advantage of the new offering and experience the ease of booking air and cruise together.

“We’d really encourage our advisor partners to pick up the phone and try us for air,” he said.

“Our team is here, on the ground, and ready to help. Whether it’s finding the best routing, competitive fares or simply making the process smoother, we’re here to support you.

“For advisors, it’s about saving time, adding value for clients, and having confidence that everything is taken care of in one booking,” he said.
