Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort has launched the Mekong Explorer Tent, a two-bedroom luxury retreat in a bamboo forest near the Golden Triangle, where Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar converge.

The Mekong Explorer Tent incorporates handcrafted wood and leather furniture with Jim Thompson fabric features, alongside locally sourced amenities, including teas, chocolates, and a Praewa cloth bag from a nearby hill tribe.

Each bedroom has a king-size bed, en-suite bathroom, and private terrace. A standout Mekong Explorer Tent feature is the outdoor bathtub overlooking the Mekong River and the resort’s 20 rescued elephants.

Mekong Explorer Tent guests arrive by traditional longtail boat and have access to a Sky Bike adventure, full-board gourmet dining, unlimited non-alcoholic beverages, a fully stocked mini-bar, and entry to the Hall of Opium Museum.

Each stay includes an activity, such as an elephant walk, a Thai cooking class, spa treatment, or a private yoga session, before dining on a three-course meal at Samsarn, the resort’s new restaurant serving gourmet dishes from Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos.
