Anantara has opened the doors to Anantara Jewel Bagh Jaipur, a five-star regal resort on the outskirts of the Pink City.

A gateway to Jaipur’s many cultural attractions, Anantara Jewel Bagh Jaipur is all opulence, designed to reflect a classic ancestral palace of Rajasthani.

The results are jharokhas traditional bay windows, intricate tikri glasswork, hand-carved woodwork and golden leafing.

There are 150 rooms including a deluxe family room, perfect for those with little ones. For the ultimate indulgence put your clients in the Presidential Two-Bedroom Suite, which has a private terrace, separate living and dining areas, two bathrooms and a jacuzzi.

Time to dine

When hunger calls, the hotel’s signature restaurant, Sheesh Mahal, is the place to be. Filled with mirror mosaics and coloured glass inspired by Rajasthan’s ‘palace of mirrors’ of the same name, savour local and international cuisines paired with carefully crafted cocktails like Jewel of Jaipur (a whisky sour twist) or Pink City Punch (guava lemonade with tequila).

Amrit Mahal is the all-day dining venue, a family-friendly space with an open kitchen; while Rajputana Chowk is a relaxed spot to unwind over specialty coffees and handpicked teas in a setting reminiscent of a traditional chowk (marketplace).

For an experience fit for royalty, choose Designer Dining by Anantara, where throughout the night four courses are served by a butler at four different venues.

Signature experiences

Art lovers should join the Royal Heritage Art Walk with the resident artist, who takes guests to explore hand-painted murals and mosaics of the hotel’s Rang Mahal ballroom before a private art session.

For those who love to cook and want to learn more about Indian cuisine, Spice Spoons cooking class starts at a local market where guests source ingredients and head back to the hotel to turn them into a traditional meal served Rajasthani-style, sitting on low stools and eating with your hands.

When you return cool off in the rooftop pool, or have a treatment at the spa which uses Ayurvedic therapies.
