Golden Eagle Luxury Trains has added a new train to its fleet and a new route from Vietnam to China.
Golden Eagle’s newest train to its fleet, Vietnam Express, will form part of the new journey from Vietnam to China.
Inside, expect Indochine-inspired cabins with ensuite bathrooms, a bistro car for drinks and dining around the clock, and the same service you expect on all of the company’s private trains.

The new 14-day ‘Treasures of the East’ adventure will start onboard Vietnam Express, and once across the Vietnamese border, guests will transfer to the ultra-luxe Golden Eagle Silk Road Express to continue through China.
The two-week trip will take in cities like Hoi An and Hanoi, and end in Shanghai.

Rail pioneer, founder and President Tim Littler says it took years in the making and was “designed to delight the senses and stir the soul all with an informal dress code to help you relax even more”.
He says off-train excursions are a highlight with everything from a Wuyi Mountain Tea Culture Experience and an immersive porcelain making session.
There’s also a speedboat tour to the Cu Chi Tunnels in Ho Chi Minh, a private Lijiang River cruise and a jeep safari through Ninh Binh.

Earlier this year, Golden Eagle announced it was launching new routes in 2026 to mark its 35th anniversary, including the Silk Road on the new Golden Eagle Silk Road Express.
Those trips include the 22-day Grand Silk Road voyage following in the footsteps of ancient traders and covering 6,500 kilometres from Beijing to Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
And the China and Tibet Rail Discovery into the heart of China and Tibet.
