Founder of Karryon Matt Leedham, General Manager Dani Tuffield, and Editorial Director, Luxury Katrina Holden hosted seven of the eight inaugural Karryon Luxury Advisory Board members at InterContinental Sydney for its first Advisory Board session.

Advisory Board member Anthony Goldman, Joint Managing Director, Goldman Travel Group and Director, Link Travel Group, was unable to attend on this occasion as he was away travelling on business.

The day started with morning tea in one of the boardrooms at InterContinental Sydney, followed by a closed-group and off-the-record discussion about pertinent industry topics affecting the luxury travel trade, including recruitment, mentorship, technology, events, the changing nature of luxury travel, challenges and opportunities in the sector, and much more.

The Advisory Board discussion was followed by lunch in the picturesque and hertiage surrounds of The Treasury restaurant in the atrium of InterContinental Sydney.

As a gesture of appreciation to the Karryon Luxury Advisory Board members, each were presented with a July ‘Karryon’ suitcase.

“We are incredibly grateful to all of the Advisory Board members for sharing and gifting us their valuable time and expertise to share their insights on how we can best serve the luxury travel sector and collectively elevate our Together in Travel mantra,” said Leedham.

“We want to particularly thank our members who travelled interstate to join us, including Melissa from Melbourne, David from Townsville and Neil from Brisbane. We’re so excited and honoured to share the journey with the Advisory Board to help grow the category for the benefit of the wider travel industry,” said Leedham.

The Karryon Luxury Advisory Board will meet twice yearly, with our next meeting later in 2024. During their term, the members will act as a steering committee and advisors to Karryon Luxury for any initiatives planned to launch to the trade.

The Board will rotate after a 12-month term.
