Lindblad Expeditions has announced a series of new Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic chartered voyages in 2026 along the Upper Amazon River and Peru aboard Delfin III, including two new itineraries.
Lindblad Expeditions Chief Expedition Officer, Trey Byus says, “The untouched wilds of the Peruvian Amazon have long fascinated intrepid explorers and modern travelers alike.
“Delfin III is a welcome addition to our chartered fleet, offering guests the opportunity to explore one of the world’s most extreme places in extreme comfort.”
Locally built and sustainably furnished, Delfin III is a Relais & Châteaux ship. It features handmade furniture and art from local communities in the area and the ship’s cuisine showcases Amazonian-Peruvian flavours.
Onboard, guests can relax in one of the 21 ‘glass-wrapped’ suites, sit on the observation deck in an open-air whirlpool hot tub, or learn from knowledgeable naturalists and local experts in the air-conditioned lounge.
The new Lindblad Expedition itineraries in Peru’s Upper Amazon include:
A six-day Upper Amazon: A River Expedition journey that will take guests to the source of the Amazon, exploring the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve and meeting the local ribereños.
And a ten-day, Wild Peru Escape: Amazing and Machu Picchu itinerary combining the Amazon River experience with a visit to Machu Picchu.
