Lynn Ormiston, Event Director of Luxperience, says the annual luxury travel event is sharpening its focus on quality over quantity, with a more targeted and curated approach this year.
This year’s Luxperience (held in October and part of FCTG’s global portfolio), will see 65 per cent of its partners new to the event, and 60 per cent of luxury travel advisors attending for the first time.
The event will have about 160 suppliers, although Ormiston says it’s not about growth by numbers and the focus this year is on representing very high-end experiences and staying on top of trends.

“For instance, this year some of our new partners include Desert Nights camp, the only luxury desert camp in Oman, and we have Sri Lanka making a debut with 15 suppliers with everything from culture to wellness experiences.”
“The luxury traveller is looking for these different, unique experiences that haven’t been experienced before.
“Post-COVID everyone was doing traditional Europe, but now they’re looking at what else they can do to have a new experience, and ski is also proving popular.”
Some of the other new partners joining Luxperience this year include:
- HX Expeditions – offering voyages to more than 250 destinations across more than 30 countries
- The Royal Portfolio South Africa – a collection of luxury boutique hotels, villas, lodges and private residences in national parks, along rugged coastlines and among vineyards
- Black Balloon – adventurous luxury travel experiences in Chile

Ormiston says attendees will also find a different format as they continually ‘mix it up’.
“Each year we try to change the program, so for example, as an option this year, suppliers and partners can have a one-on-one lunch at a restaurant overlooking the water, and we have a brainstorming session … each year we introduce new interactive and special events as a way of collaborating.”
Ormiston says they are already in talks with other new experiences and partners to come to Australia for the 2026 event.

This year’s event will be held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Sydney from 7 – 10 October 2205 and is open to all luxury travel advisors.
