After a nine-month renovation, luxury tented camp, Ishara in Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve has reopened with an elevated first-of-its-kind ‘Starbed’ experience.
Set on a private elevated deck, the Starbed is nestled among the canopy of the Masai Mara, where you’ll drift to sleep serenaded by the distant roar of lions.
The upgraded experience includes a bi-level deck extension with a stone bathtub, and an ensuite rainfall shower.

Ishara’s extensive renovation also includes a redesigned and expanded Aya Spa, a new yoga and meditation deck, and a Nordic Spa with sauna, cold plunge and hot tub.
A ‘Shamba of Goodness’ aeroponics tower farm grows most of the produce which features in the dishes, which you can watch being created through an interactive kitchen.
The property has also added a new wine cellar, al fresco fireplace and lounge adjacent to the bar.

River Suites have been repositioned to blend into the forest surrounds, and have decks with an artisanal wooden day bed, and vintage outdoor bathtubs.
While Villa Suites have been ‘enhanced’ with private heated infinity pools and a deck with a firepit.

No visit here is complete without a safari experience and at Ishara you can head out with the onsite Canon-certified guides who will help you get the best shot of the vast wildlife within the Masai Mara National Reserve.
When you return, there’s a new camera studio with all the equipment you need to make that image look like it was taken by a pro.
