Award-winning luxury lodge Saffire Freycinet in Tasmania’s Coles Bay has revealed plans for a new ultra-luxury, three-bedroom villa.

Award-winning luxury lodge Saffire Freycinet in Tasmania’s Coles Bay has revealed plans for a new ultra-luxury, three-bedroom villa.

Set separately from the main lodge’s 16 suites, Saffire Villa will be on the northwestern side of the property, with views of Great Oyster Bay and the Hazards mountains.

The “super-premium” villa will have a private heated pool, outdoor spa bath and fireside entertainment space.

Federal Group (developer and operator of Saffire), Managing Director, Greg Farrell, says the move is in response to demand for “a more expansive and high-end offering”.

“For years, our returning guests who have loved their stay at Saffire have been bringing their friends and family along to experience this special place on the east coast of Tasmania, and they’ve shared that this kind of exclusive luxury villa that also delivers all the benefits of staying at a luxury lodge is the ideal combination.

“We’ve been delighted to have our loyal and engaged community of guests highly involved in the concept, design and refinement of ongoing plans for the Saffire Villa.”

A look inside

A design in keeping with the luxurious style of the main lodge, guests can expect a dining space and a ‘finishing’ kitchen for the exclusive in-suite dining service, two open fireplaces, and an expansive lounge with views overlooking the bay.

Soft furnishing and fittings will all be commissioned by Tasmanian suppliers.

The build is expected to start in mid-2025.

Bookings will open six months prior to opening, with a starting rate of AU$10,000 per night, all-inclusive.
