Scenic Group has just unveiled its 2028-29 Europe, Mediterranean and Americas Discovery Yacht collection, and it’s the biggest expansion of the brand’s land-and-sea offering to date.
The ultra-luxury cruise and tour company has revealed Scenic Ikon‘s inaugural season as the centrepiece of its 2028 and 2029 Europe, Mediterranean and Americas Discovery Yacht collection.
Launching in April 2028, Scenic Ikon joins Scenic Eclipse and Scenic Eclipse II, taking the Discovery Yacht fleet to three ships.
The addition opens new itineraries across the Eastern Mediterranean, Adriatic, Aegean, Atlantic and West Africa.

Where Scenic Ikon sails
Scenic Ikon‘s first season focuses on the Eastern Mediterranean, Adriatic and Aegean, combining well-known coastlines with boutique islands and lesser-visited harbours.
First-time calls include the Greek islands of Naxos, Milos, Paros and Hydra, alongside Adriatic ports such as Kotor, Dubrovnik and Zadar.
The collection also introduces Istanbul, an overnight in Egypt taking in the Pyramids of Giza, and voyages through the Dardanelles with access to Troy and ANZAC Cove.
Further west, Scenic is expanding its Atlantic and West African program with destinations including Cape Verde and Dakar.
All three yachts are designed to access smaller harbours and remote locations beyond the reach of larger cruise ships.
Land journeys and suite inclusions
Scenic has expanded its handcrafted land journeys and small-group tours across Italy, Malta, Turkey and Greece, each designed to connect with selected Discovery Yacht voyages before or after sailing.
“The handcrafted land journeys have been designed to align pre- or post-Scenic Discovery Yachts voyages, so guests can link storied coastlines, cities and inland regions into one continuous experience, enjoying the ease of a single, seamlessly curated journey, all delivered by Scenic,” says Scenic Group director land product Angus Crichton.
Premium suites gain elevated inclusions for the 2028 and 2029 seasons, including a private half-day excursion with a personal guide on selected Signature Yacht Cruises and private chauffeur airport transfers.
Penthouse guests will also receive a helicopter landing experience where permitted, from golf at Sicily’s Verdura Resort to truffle hunting in Croatia.

Earlier this year, the Australian-founded group revealed it’d add three new luxury river ships for launch in 2027 and 2028.
The expansion includes one Emerald Star-Ship and two ultra-luxury Scenic Space-Ships, adding capacity on Portugal’s Douro River and Southeast Asia’s Mekong River.
The announcement brings the group’s confirmed pipeline to at least nine new vessels when combined with ships already under construction or previously announced, including Emerald Astra (launching May 2026 on the Rhine, Main and Danube), Emerald Lumi (debuting on France’s Seine in 2027), three Emerald Cruises yachts and the next-generation discovery yacht Scenic Ikon.
Emerald Nova is the first cab off the rank, with a June 2027 launch on Portugal’s Douro River. According to Scenic Group, the ship has been purpose-built for the Douro and will join the existing Emerald Radiance in the region, operating two itineraries.
Scenic Aria follows in September 2027, also on the Douro. The ultra-luxury Space-Ship will join Scenic Azure in Portugal, operating the brand’s signature 11-day Unforgettable Douro and eight-day Delightful Douro itineraries.

KARRYON UNPACKS: With a third yacht and a deliberately broadened land program, Scenic is betting that ultra-luxury travellers want fewer big ports and more depth, pairing small-harbour access with continuous ocean-to-land itineraries. For advisors, the combined yacht-and-land sell and tiered suite inclusions give real room to shape a single high-value booking well ahead of 2028.
