Silver Nova makes her debut arrival in Sydney as the first of Silversea’s Nova class ships

Silver Nova has arrived in Sydney for its first Australian season, after her earlier arrival into Australian waters in late November.

Silver Nova has arrived in Sydney for its first Australian season, after her earlier arrival into Australian waters in late November.

After its first Sydney call, Silver Nova will journey to Tasmania and then on to New Zealand.

The ship features a revolutionary asymmetrical design and advanced sustainability features and can accommodate 728 guests. 

She is the largest ship in Silversea’s fleet, alongside its sister ship, Silver Ray, which is scheduled to join the fleet in 2025.

Speaking of the ship’s visit to Australia, Bert Hernandez, President of Silversea said: “We’re delighted to host guests aboard Silver Nova in Australian waters for the first time. Several travel advisors were on board after having sailed form Adelaide to Sydney, hosted by Cassandra Kerr, Silversea’s Director of Sales, Australia and New Zealand – while others advisors and media embarked yesterday for a Sydney to Hobart sailing, including Karryon’s cruise contributor, Sally Macmillan (stay tuned for her ship review in coming days).

Silver Nova arrived first at Sydney’s Overseas Passenger Terminal before making her way to White Bay Cruise Terminal. Executives on board included Adam Radwanski, Silversea Managing Director APAC; Philippa Walker, Silversea Director of Marketing APAC; and Gavin Smith, Senior Vice President International, Royal Caribbean International.
