Right in time for Valentine’s Day, The EVE opened in Sydney’s burgeoning and vibrant new Wunderlich Lane lifestyle precinct in Redfern and near Surry Hills.

The evening before the official opening, TFE Hotels hosted an intimate preview of the 102-key hotel.

A number of boutique retail, health, and wellness experiences are on offer, as well as premium culinary venues by some of Australia’s leading restaurateurs – including Liquid & Larder, Olympus Dining (a sister venue to Sydney’s The Apollo); two new venues from House Made Hospitality (Island Radio and Baptist St Rec Club) and many more.

Lottie serves lunch and dinner daily, while Bar Julius, on the lobby level, offers breakfast and all-day dining until late.

Sure to be popular with lovers of art, culture and design, the hotel’s stylish interiors were created by a renowned design team including SJB’s Adam Haddow, 360 Degrees’ Daniel Baffsky, and George Livissianis.

Curated art throughout the property  includes pieces by Sydney artist, Louise Olsen, and Australian artist Tarryn Gill.

The hotel’s General Manager, Ben Mellor, said rather than looking overseas for design inspiration, The EVE offered guests a distinctive Sydney-inspired experience in what is becoming one of the city’s most vibrant lifestyle precincts.

“The EVE is more than just a hotel stay —it’s a destination in itself where the guest experience is personalised and guests can immerse themselves in Sydney’s rich cultural scene,” he said.

“We are thrilled to have opened our doors and welcomed our first guests today to Wunderlich Lane and to The EVE.”

Up at the rooftop terrace, a 20-metre pool is sure to be the focal point of the hotel – with a bar, red-clay coloured umbrellas, sun beds and cabanas: one could be forgiven for thinking they are in California.

A dedicated fitness space is still a work in progress but in the meantime, guests will have exclusive access to the neighbourhood’s wellness experiences including The Parlour Room, in adjacent Wunderlich Lane, offering signature treatments such as high-performance facials or intuitive massage therapies.
