Twinpalms Bangtao Phuket Tented Resort is a first-of-its-kind concept for the luxury hotelier – a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World collection.
The 28 adults-only luxury tented retreat is nestled alongside Bangtao Beach on Phuket’s West Coast – a one-hour flight from Bangkok, with a design concept to bring the outside in.

Elevated tented luxury
Designer Martin Palleros of Bangkok-based Tierra Design has taken the surrounding jungle and lagoon as his design cue, using teak wood furnishings, neutral tones and earthy materials.
Outside, indigenous plants and shrubbery are pocketed with lagoons and winding footpaths that lead to the Andaman Sea.
At the heart of the camp is an expansive tented lounge – a communal indoor-outdoor space to wind down while savouring crafted cocktails around a campfire.
The tented ‘rooms’ (either on the beach with a private plunge pool, or nestled in a tropical landscaped garden by the lagoon) are created to have a seamless indoor-to-outdoor transition where guests can simply roll up the window panels to bring the outdoors in.
While away the day
Days can be spent having contemporary Thai healing therapies in the tented resort spa, meditation and yoga, lotus petal folding art experiences, or a cruise on the Andaman Sea.
For the athletic, head to the state-of-the-art fitness centre a few minutes away at sister property, Twinpalms Surin Phuket Resort, where a Muay Thai studio hosts group and private classes, then rest weary legs by lazing at one of the nearby beach clubs.
When it’s time to dine, head to Twinpalms Surin Phuket Resort’s Michelin Guide awardee restaurant, Wagyu Steakhouse, for mouthwatering steak and other specialties like red Kamchatka crab leg and grilled Boston lobster.
