Virgin Hotels opened its first and highly anticipated London location in the creative epicentre of Shoreditch on 1 August, launching with a Grand Opening food and drink credit offer and double Virgin Points on stays until December 2024 for loyalty program members of The Know and Virgin Red.

Virgin Hotels London-Shoreditch will have a phased transformation to bring the brand’s iconic features to the space, including Virgin Group Founder Sir Richard Branson’s Penthouse Flat.

The newest hotel has an industrial vibe that fits its location with an exposed brick façade and steel-framed windows that also houses a private members’ club run by Blue Marlin Ibiza that guests can access, including a co-working hub, nightclub, gym, restaurant and lounge bar and spa treatment rooms.

The 120-room hotel offers Chambers and larger Suites with custom-designed and patented hybrid beds along with a 24/7 gym, pool and three food and beverage options: BiBo by Dani Garcia, Marlin’s On The Roof and a lobby lounge plus in-room dining.

The ongoing transformation will see the hotel’s street-level lobby lounge and cafe become a pop-up Commons Club – Virgin Hotels’ flagship food and beverage concept for work and play – before becoming yet another new space later in the year.

Branson said: “I’m so thrilled to see Virgin Hotels London-Shoreditch has swung its doors wide open.”

“The UK is where the Virgin story all began, so it’s incredibly exciting to have another foothold in the city. Virgin Hotels was created to do things differently and Virgin Hotels London-Shoreditch is no exception.”
