W Sydney has unveiled its top-level suites with the Extreme Wow Suite and five Wow Suites, following the hotel’s opening in late 2023.
The suites feature submarine-inspired interiors, a marble catwalk bar and a private cellar.
The Extreme Wow Suite spans 202 square-metres and is located on Level 27 of the luxury hotel, offering panoramic waterfront views overlooking the Darling Harbour precinct.
The hotel’s interior designers, Bowler James Brindley, took their penthouse inspiration from the HMAS Onslow, one of six Oberon-class submarines commissioned by the Royal Australian Navy that now resides in Darling Harbour as part of the National Maritime Museum.
Within the suite, a seven-metre catwalk bar takes centre stage, crafted from Nero Marquina marble. Lighting fixtures are inspired by the shapes and colours of marine life, as well as the carpets with an ocean-wave motif.
A crescent-shaped guest bedroom features an adjoining walk-in robe, while a second circular bathtub is positioned alongside the window. The Extreme Wow Suite also features a spirit bar and private cellar, stocked with Champagnes and an extensive selection of Australian and international wines.
Guests staying in the Extreme Wow suite can draw upon the services of W Sydney’s sommelier, available to guide guests through the cellar listings to provide personalised recommendations. With advance notice, the sommelier is available to host private wine tastings and spirit flights in the suite.
The Extreme Wow Suite is ideal for private events and can comfortably accommodate up to 20 guests, seated or up to 50 guests for an intimate cocktail-style event.

Meanwhile the five upper-level Wow Suites carry similar, marine-inspired design elements and offer floor-to-ceiling views of Darling Harbour. These one-bedroom suites range in size from 112 square-metres to 125 square-metres, and feature a generous bar, dining and lounge spaces, walk-in robe, and a second soaking tub overlooking the harbour below.
Rates for the Extreme Wow Suite start from AUD$6,000 per night, including a complimentary bottle of Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label Champagne. The Wow Suites start from AUD$3,400 per night.
