Taking its inaugural Visit Europe & Britain Roadshow off the rails and on the road, Rail Europe will showcase eight European Travel Commission (ETC) members and VisitBritain to travel advisors in Sydney and Melbourne later this year.

In partnership with ETC and VisitBritain, Rail Europe’s roadshow events will take place in Melbourne on 31 October and in Sydney on 1 November 2023.

Rail Europe invites advisors to hop aboard the networking events to receive the latest rail updates, experiences and activities along with prize giveaways.

For the first time under one roof, travel advisors will meet with all eight members of the ETC’s Australian Chapter – Atout France, Italian National Tourist Board, Switzerland Tourism, Tourism Ireland, Austrian National Tourist Office, Visit Monaco, Spain Tourism Board and Visit Portugal – along with VisitBritain and Rail Europe.

Rail Europe APAC General Manager Richard Leonard said: “We are extremely excited to be working with the ETC members and VisitBritain to present this ground-breaking opportunity to showcase the continent to our key travel advisors.”

“With rail becoming the most reliable, efficient, safest and, importantly, the most environmentally friendly way to travel across Europe, advisors will also gain deeper insights into the many new and different connections available, plus other significant value-adds.”

VisitBritain Country Manager Australia & New Zealand Maria Sykes said: “Britain’s iconic rail journeys are the perfect way for Australian travellers to connect our thriving cities, picturesque villages and striking scenery across the breadth of the country in a sustainable way year-round.”

“We’re delighted to work with Rail Europe and ETC to help our travel trade partners hop on board to better convert this growing demand for Britain into bookings.”
