Send your clients on a toe-tapping journey through the American music scene, and give them an experience they’ll never forget as they step inside the USA’s musical heart.

The 19-day Grand Southern Charm tour with APT, in particular, is perfect for music lovers, taking guests on a whirlwind tour from New Orleans to New York City and spending time in some of the great American cities that have made major contributions to popular music in the last 100 years.

And priced from just $14,695* pp twin share, with flights added on for just $1,295*, it’s definitely music to the ears – thanks to APT’s awesome Best Celebration Savings promo, which is running in celebration of the company’s recent success at the NTIA.

Here are just some of the musical experiences your clients will receive in the USA with APT.

1. Jazzy New Orleans

Considered to be the birthplace of jazz, New Orleans, Louisiana, has music running through its veins – and by veins, we mean its streets, clubs and bars! Jazz lovers will absolutely be tapping their toes in this lively city known for its rich musical legacy.

But the real highlight of a stay here is your clients participating in their very own Dixieland Jazz marching band parade through the heart of the French Quarter, before sitting down for a sumptuous meal: from Creole-style seafood, mouth-watering steaks, French Creole dishes or classic New Orleans cuisine in a fine dining setting, this is one city that definitely caters to the senses!

2. Rock and Roll Memphis

From the bee-boppin’ sounds of jazz, to the hip-swinging gyrations of another American musical legacy, guests travelling with APT on its Grand Southern Charm tour will also visit Memphis, Tennessee, a city many consider to be the birthplace of rock and roll and where the streets are awash with the sound of guitar riffs and colourful neon signs.

Also here is the former home of a bona-fide musical legend: the one and only Elvis Presley. Graceland is the most famous rock and roll residence in the world – and was the King’s home base – and Elvis fans will be able to literally walk in the musical revolutionary’s footsteps whilst learning about the man’s life.

3. Country western Nashville

Nashville isn’t just the capital of the southern state of Tennessee – it’s also the heartland of another iconic American musical genre: Country music. That’s what guests will learn on the APT Grand Southern Charm tour on a visit to the toe-tapping music mecca known around the world as ‘Music City.’

With APT’s Freedom Of Choice Touring, guests can decide whether they want to visit The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and Studio B – absolute must-dos for music fans who love their music served with cowboy hats and flannel shirts – or perhaps tour the historic letterpress showroom at Hatch Show Print, which has been in operation since 1879. Alternatively, guests can visit the Jack Daniel’s Distillery.

4. Influential Philadelphia

Philadelphia played a major role in shaping the American music scene, with the rock and roll TV show ‘American Bandstand’ (aired from 1952 to 1989 and hosted Dick Clark) introducing the likes of Prince, Jackson 5, Sonny and Cher, and Aerosmith to the American audience – and consequently the world. Even before the success of the show, Philadelphia and popular music were virtually synonymous, with the likes of Philadelphia-born popular vocalists, such as Chubby Checker, Frankie Avalon, and Bobby Rydell, putting the city firmly on the musical map.

The city was also instrumental – literally – in bringing traditional and modern classical music to the ears of the American listening public, most notably through Walt Disney’s 1940 animated film Fantasia.

But before all this, Philadelphia was where America’s founding fathers signed the Declaration of Independence, and is such known as the birthplace of American democracy. Guests travelling with APT will visit the Liberty Bell, as well as Independence Hall here.

5. Dynamic New York City

Nowhere else in the world is it possible to be surrounded by so much music than in New York City – the place to be for any musician. As they say: if you can make it in New York City, you can make it anywhere!

Capping off the Grand Southern Charm tour in NYC with APT gives your guests one final chance to experience the sonic fruits of the USA. To help them get their bearings, guests join a guided city tour and pick up tips on the best areas to delve into the arts scene.

They may even wish to check out a Broadway show (own arrangement and expense) or perhaps simply wander the streets of the Big Apple using their ears to guide them along the way.
