The smiles at Disneyland Resort will continue to shine bright like a ‘Diamond’ as the happiest place on earth extends its 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebrations through summer this year.

The three spectacular after-dark shows and other 60-year adventures created for the special anniversary will now continue to run until America’s Labor Day on 5 September 2016.

The highlight of the big 6-0 celebrations has been the three new nighttime entertainment spectaculars, which kicked off on 22 May and raise the bar on creativity and entertainment technology.

Among the night events include the ‘Paint the Night’ parade featuring an array of Disney characters and 1.5 million bright LED lights that flash and glow as Mickey Mouse and his friends make their way down Main Street.

The ‘Disneyland Forever’ fireworks show presented by Honda lights up the sky with the largest installation of projection mapping technology in a Disney park and surprising special effects. One minute guests will be standing on Main Street, U.S.A., and the next they could be stampeding across Simba’s Pride Lands, dancing with King Louie from “The Jungle Book,” traveling “Under the Sea” with the Little Mermaid or flying over London with Peter Pan.

And then there’s the ‘World of Colour – Celebrate! The Wonderful World of Walt Disney’ with actor Neil Patrick Harris joining Mickey Mouse on a water canvas to entertain guests in a fun-filled new presentation of the popular ‘World of Colour’ spectacular. Guests take an inspirational journey through the unparalleled imagination of Walt Disney, exploring his decades-long legacy of memorable animated moments around the world and the dream of Disneyland. “World of Color – Celebrate!” reminds guests that, if they always hold onto their dreams, anything is possible.
