Good morning Vietnam! It’s going to be a beautiful day with thousands of Aussie holidaymakers booking flights to your bustling cities, cultural towns and busy beaches.
Jetstar has announced an extension to its network today with two new routes from Melbourne and Sydney to Ho Chi Minh City.
Commencing in May, the carrier will operate its 787 Dreamliner on the two services, which will fly four times weekly from Sydney and three times weekly from Melbourne, News.com.au reported.
Travellers flying with the airline to Vietnam will also be able to connect through to 15 other destinations within the destination via Jetstar’s Vietnamese domestic partner, Jetstar Pacific.
Jetstar Group’s Chief Executive, Jayne Hrdlicka, Vietnam is a fast growing destination for tourists, particularly among the Australian market, which grew 21 percent over the last 12 months.
She continued, saying Jetstar’s low fares will further boost visitor numbers and could even help the destination become the next Bali.
“Vietnam has the potential to become as popular as Bali or Thailand for Australian travellers.”
Jayne Hrdlicka, Jetstar Group Chief Executive
Now onto the good stuff – the fare deal.
To celebrate the announcement of the new route, Jetstar is offering seats from $159 one-way over 12 hours commending midday tonight.
