Flight Centre Global, 5 celebrities that could appear at the 2017 Gathering

In 2016 they drooled over a half naked Jason Derulo, in 2015, they received life and career advice from the amazing Gwyneth Paltrow, and in 2014 they partied with Will i Am AND Jessie J.

Now, less than two weeks from Flight Centre’s annual Global Gathering in Hawaii, everyone wants to know, who the hell is going to make some 3,000 jaws drop simultaneously in 2017?

Hopefully not some creepy clown. Although it would be cool if Bill Skarsgård used the event to promote his forthcoming movie ‘It’ in which he plays a scary a$$ Pennywise.

In KarryOn tradition, the team has looked over the few publicly released details of this year’s gathering with a magnifying glass and made a few educated (mostly random) guesses as to who Flight Centre may book for the event. We came up with some great ideas, like for example…

Bruno Mars…

As mentioned above, this year’s event is being held in Hawaii, which also happens to be where the five-time Grammy Award pop sensation hails from (he was born and raised in Honolulu).

If he is this year’s headliner, KarryOn not only wants a signed anything (seriously, anything) BUT we also expect at least one shirtless performance to rival Jason Derulo’s 2016 appearance. Thanks!

Jason Momoa

Oh my gosh YAS! Could the DC hero swim away from the Aquaman movie set in Queensland (if they’re still filming) and return to his Hawaii home for a brief presentation on the importance of finding balance between work and family? KarryOn thinks… maybe.

Grace Park

LOVE! Grace Park may not be Hawaiian but she was, up until recently, the lead actress in a series revolving around the destination, ‘Hawaii Five-O’. The actress could talk to the Flight Centre Group about the importance of gender equality in the workplace and equal pay.

The Biebs

From a Hillsong Conference in Sydney to the annual gathering of thousands of Flight Centre employees and their closest suppliers. Justin Bieber may not hail from Hawaii but perhaps he’s looking to celebrate with some of the fiercest partiers in the travel industry? KarryOn says… wishful thinking.

Jack Johnson

Another Hawaiian native (born and raise in Oahu), the American singer could ease everyone into party mode with soft rock music before inspiring attendees through discussions on his surfing career and philanthropy work.

One extra guess for luck – Adele!

She did say she was retiring from touring AND she has little to no connection with Hawaii, BUT Flight Centre always surprises so… fingers crossed!

Just covering all bases here – Katy Perry!

She’s one incredible performer, her music will definitely have people up on their feet AND she has a new album to promote. KarryOn says… please let it be Katy!

Flight Centre’s 2017 Global Ball will be held in Hawaii on 14-16 July.

Who do you think this year’s headline act will be?
