Permed grey/blonde wigs and retro A-line dresses will flood Celebrity Cruises’ Celebrity Infinity in one year’s time when the ship plays host to the world’s first dedicated Golden Girls cruise.
Yes ma’, it’s a sailing entirely focused on reliving the best female-led comedy series from the 80s, The Golden Girls.
The faint-worthy news was revealed last week (better late than… pregnant), along with the opening of ticket sales for the cruise from Florida’s (home of the famous four) Key West to Cozumel in Mexico.
Over the five-night trip, pals and confidants will honour the beloved characters – Rose, Blanche, Dorothy and Sophia – by attending fancy dress parties, playing bingo, and, of course, eating cheesecake.
Passengers can also take part in a Golden Girls bar crawl in Key West, or they can do their best impression of Dorothy and Sophia doing an impression of Sonny and Cher during a karaoke party at Rusty Anchor, Blanche’s favourite place for meeting men.
