Karryon is thrilled to announce that travel industry favourite Dani Tuffield has joined the business as its new Partnerships Manager, stepping in for Haley Janssens as she heads off on maternity leave.

With an illustrious career in travel and tourism spanning 20 plus years, Dani previously spent over a decade with leading travel representation and specialist marketing agency Gate7 as their Tourism Development Director in Sydney.

During her time at Gate7, Dani led tourism development strategies for numerous leading travel brands, including Brand USA, Visit California, Visit Germany and over fifteen state city and regional destination tourism boards in the Americas.

Prior to Gate7, Dani spent 8 years as an account manager at Air New Zealand, was a sales manager for Air Calin, and played a pivotal part in the launch of Delta Airlines Australia-USA route and its subsequent commercial success.

Dani’s new role at Karryon will see her further strengthening Karryon’s extensive industry partner relationships and exploring strategic new ventures for the media brand as part of the travel industry ‘Arrival Revival’ for post-pandemic travel.

Speaking about Dani’s appointment, Karryon founder and editor in chief Matt Leedham said:

“Having known and worked with Dani for many years at Gate7, I’m so grateful and honoured that Dani has chosen to start her next chapter in travel with Karryon. As a much-loved and highly respected travel leader, I’m absolutely ecstatic that Dani is joining the team and can’t wait to work together on the reset and rebuild of our beloved industry.”

Meanwhile, Karryon’s new Partnerships Manager Dani Tuffield said of her appointment:

“I’ve been lucky enough to work with Karryon for many years as a client and absolutely love and respect the way the team operate. I couldn’t be more thrilled than to have been given the opportunity to work with the team as we continue to connect and support our community on the path to bluer skies ahead.”

Dani replaces Partnerships Director Haley Janssens, who is heading off on maternity leave and will return in 2022.

Haley has been with the business for 5 years, having worked previously for News Corporation in their travel section and has played an integral part in Karryon’s ongoing success and delivering value to its extensive portfolio of leading travel and tourism partners.

All of us at Karryon wish Haley all the best for her new chapter and look forward to welcoming her back in the new year.
