After an unprecedented border closure, Los Angeles Tourism is thrilled that travellers from Australia and New Zealand can once again explore the world and visit the City of Angels from 1 November when Australia’s international border reopens.
Oh yeah! Los Angeles has safely and fully reopened, thanks to close collaboration with Government and Public Health officials and the stage is set for our arrival.
Did you know? In 2019, 500,000 Aussies and Kiwis visited, injecting $1.05 billion in visitor spending alone to L.A’s local economy.
Now, the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board is inviting Aussie and Kiwi visitors to start their comeback and experience the seemingly endless new attractions, hotels, restaurants and more that are opening around the City.
What’s more, as of 1 November, Qantas will restart flying from Sydney to LAX once more, with Air New Zealand resuming flights from Sydney on 8 November, making it even easier to get stateside again.

Rising from tourism’s “lost year,” L.A. recently gave its city logo a new retro look and feel to celebrate the reopening of Los Angeles.
The new logo is said to “embrace the optimistic spirit of Angelenos while inviting visitors to discover a destination that celebrates personal freedom under a sun of infinite possibilities.”
To showcase Los Angeles’ gratitude for Australia and New Zealand’s trade partners, Adam Burke, President & CEO of Los Angeles Tourism, has recorded a video message from the brand-new Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
