Total Eclipse: travel industry turns out for Celebrity meeting

Celebrity Cruises hosted an exclusive travel industry cocktail and dining experience in Sydney this week aboard Celebrity Eclipse, the first of the brand’s vessels to return to Australian waters after a nearly three-year absence.

To mark the comeback of cruising in Australia and to thank the trade for its ongoing support, Celebrity Cruises invited a select group of 17 of its top industry partners (including Karryon!) to the event.

And celebrate they did, with guests treated to cocktails and canapés at Sky Observation Lounge followed by a sumptuous feast in the ship’s Italian eatery Tuscan Grille.

With its position at the rear of the ship, the restaurant also gave guests sweeping views of Sydney Harbour Bridge to complement their gourmet fare.

Attendees also had the chance to explore the Celebrity Eclipse while it was docked at the Overseas Passenger Terminal in Sydney Harbour.

Celebrity Cruises Vice President and Managing Director Australia and Asia-Pacific Tim Jones, Marketing Director Australia and New Zealand Emma Mumford, and Director of Sales Australia and New Zealand Cameron Mannix hosted the event.

For those looking to experience the Celebrity Eclipse, cabins are still available on the 11-night New Zealand sailing from Sydney departing 26 March 2023 and three-night Taste of Luxury sailing from Sydney departing 19 April.

Meanwhile, Celebrity Cruises’ signature Edge Series ship, Celebrity Edge, will make its first appearance in Australian and NZ waters in December for the 2023/24 season.

Sailing around Australia and NZ before heading to the South Pacific, Celebrity Edge will offer 12 bespoke six to 13-night itineraries from December through to April 2024.

The vessel will stop at a total of 22 ports, with departures from Sydney and Auckland.
