Celebrating "belonging": Magellan Travel Conference 2024 wraps in Adelaide

The Magellan Travel Conference 2024 has concluded in Adelaide after three days of networking, business updates, panel sessions and special events to showcase and celebrate the national network of independent leisure and corporate agency members.

The Magellan Travel Conference 2024 has concluded in Adelaide after three days of networking, business updates, panel sessions and special events to showcase and celebrate the national network of independent leisure and corporate agency members.

With the theme, ‘Belong’, emphasising identity, unity, capability and belonging, the annual event began with a welcome dinner and experience at Penfolds Magill Estate.

Helloworld Travel CEO Andrew Burnes opened the conference, highlighting the importance and value of the leisure and corporate travel agency network and the opportunities available to members, including the new Ensemble partnership, amid positive feedback.

Major industry partners were also in attendance with presentations from AmaWaterways, ANZCRO, Azamara, Chimu Adventures, Club Med, Cover-More Travel Insurance, Globus family of brands, Intrepid Travel, Lufthansa, NCL, nib Travel, Railbookers, Scenic, Scoot, Singapore Airlines, Travelport, TTC Tour Brands, Virgin Airlines, Wendy Wu Tours and Windstar Cruises.

Magellan General Manager Iain Summers gave an address followed by panel discussions with preferred partners and HLO division updates from Air Tickets, VIVA Holidays, ReadyRooms, Cruiseco, Commercial and Marketing.

Summers wrapped up with key industry insights on products, sustainability, traveller trends and emerging tech before the conference concluded with a d’Arenberg Cube wine-tasting experience, an exclusive Salvador Dalí exhibition tour and dinner at Adelaide’s Centre of Immersive Light & Art (ILA).
