Abracadabra: Lady Gaga entices Aussie fans to Singapore for Mayhem concerts in May 2025

Australian fans are prompting a massive surge in flight and accommodation searches to Singapore ahead of the US pop icon’s four 'The Mayhem Ball' concert tour dates in the city-state this May.

Australian fans are prompting a massive surge in flight and accommodation searches to Singapore ahead of the US pop icon’s four ‘The Mayhem Ball’ concert tour dates in the city-state this May.

Lady Gaga dropped the news of her unplanned arena tour – her first since 2018 – due to the overwhelming enthusiasm for her latest album from her fans, aka Little Monsters.

Making her first Singapore appearance in 13 years, it’s also the only Asia stop on The Mayhem Ball tour, causing huge interest among Asia-Pacific audiences.

With no dates in Australia, these concerts are the only way for Australian fans to feast their eyes on Mother Monster live.

Aussies are Gaga for Singapore

Skyscanner data showed a significant surge in Aussies searching for flights to SIN in May 2025 – up 128.1 per cent month-on-month.

The week before the concerts (w/c 12 May) saw a 41.3 per cent week-on-week spike in search volume, while the concert week itself (w/c 19 May) saw a 14.6 per cent surge.

This indicates that Australians are keen to make a holiday out of their concert attendance and explore more of the city-state leading up to the event as Aussies embrace gig-tripping in 2025.

Meanwhile, Booking.com reported a 72 per cent increase in accommodation searches by Australian travellers for SIN when Mayhem tickets went on sale, making Aussies the number one inbound travellers for the city-state.

The gig-tripping trend continues from last year’s Taylor Swift and Coldplay global concert tours, which saw Australians travel to see their favourite acts, and the flow-on financial effects for communities and tourism.
