Iconic Fijian luxury resort reopens in May 2025 after multi-million-dollar refresh. Here’s what’s new

Adults-only wilderness luxury Likuliku Lagoon Resort will reopen its doors to guests on 1 May 2025, revealing a raft of new luxury accommodation, dining and sustainability features as part of a AUD$7 million major revitalisation project.

Located in Fiji’s Mamanuca Archipelago, Likuliku Lagoon Resort closed to complete enhancements across three months to propel the property’s continued commitment to relaxed luxury, sustainable tourism and world-class experiences. 

New luxury experiences and eco updates

These include Saluwaki, an innovative and intimate dining experience featuring locally sourced ingredients for just 28 diners; and a deluxe refurbishment of all bures – with 11 Beachfront Bures now offering private plunge pools.

In addition, Likuliku Lagoon Resort has introduced the Na Vanua Conservation Hub, dedicated to marine and ecological preservation and community care in collaboration with its parent company’s charitable trust – Ahura Resorts Conservation Foundation.

The immersive and interactive space allows guests to experience a hands-on opportunity to engage with and support local ecosystems and Fijian culture through projects ranging from reforestation and mangrove restoration to coral planting and Fiji crested iguana conservation.

Other enhancements include environmentally friendly roof thatching on bures, upgraded pool and main restaurant areas and high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi capacity.

Still to open in June 2025 is a new water bottling and production plant to make complimentary still and sparkling bottled water for all rooms at Likuliku Lagoon Resort and family-friendly sister property Malolo Island Resort.
