Ennismore brings its boho luxe lifestyle hospitality brand to Australia for the first time with the opening of Hyde Melbourne Place, marking the seventh Hyde hotel in six countries worldwide with 11 more in the pipeline, including another Australian city.

Hyde Melbourne Place opened on 2 May 2025, bringing the brand’s music festival aesthetic to the Victorian capital’s CBD.

The hotel arrives in the new Melbourne Place lifestyle destination precinct, complementing contemporary restaurants and boutique shopping experiences.

The new hotel joins a trio of flagship Ennismore openings in Australia this year – Hyde Perth, Mondrian Gold Coast and 25hours Hotel Sydney The Olympia – marking the group’s Down Under debut.

Hyde Melbourne Place General Manager Jodi Brown said: “Melbourne’s creative spirit, bold energy and cultural richness make it the perfect setting for Hyde’s Australian debut.”

“With its bohemian aesthetic, playful spirit, and deep roots in music and design, Hyde Melbourne Place will offer guests more than just a stay, it will be a full sensory experience.

“We can’t wait to reveal what’s coming, including vibrant spaces, live music moments and design that truly speaks to the heart of Melbourne’s artistic community,” she said.
