After a five-year absence, Cathay Pacific’s The Bridge lounge has officially reopened at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) as the airline also embarks on a two-year revamp of its first- and business-class lounge, The Wing from May 2025.

The Bridge was redesigned with a human-centric focus to provide a welcoming space for Cathay Pacific’s premium passengers as Australian visitation to Hong Kong is up 32 per cent in 2025.

The completely redesigned lounge occupies an expansive 25,620sqm space near Departure Gate 25 at HKIA’s Terminal 1 that can accommodate 450 guests with views across the runway.

It will also be the airline’s first lounge with a biometric check-in system alongside the traditional check-in desk.

The revamp is part of Cathay Group’s HKD$100 billion (around AUD$20 billion) investment into new aircraft, cabin products, lounges and digital innovations, including the new Aria Suite.
