Aman has announced it’ll open its first property in The Bahamas set across two of the Exumas’ most secluded, private cays.
Meaning ‘peaceful island’ in Taíno, Amancaya will be a 36-pavilion, low-density, ultra-luxury hotel.
Created in partnership with Swiss investor, philanthropist and sportswoman Dona Bertarelli, it will have a marina, Beach Club, spa, and an array of dining venues across the two islands.

As part of its commitment to sustainability, the new property has set ambitious environmental goals, aligning with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to achieve LEED certification, a globally recognised standard for responsible design.
The new hotel is currently under construction and will be the brand’s third property in the Caribbean, along with Amanera in Rio San Juan, Dominican Republic, and Amanyara in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos.
Late last year, the luxury hotel brand announced tennis legend Novak Djokovic as its first Global Wellness Advisor, who will host a series of wellness experiences, including a Detoxification Programme at Amanyara (among other properties around the world).
Designed by Djokovic, it is a “guided reset for body, mind and spirit” which will take place over three days and provides guests with the tools to “sustain their journey after their stay”.
