After more than $50 million for a two-year entire hotel refurbishment, Pan Pacific Perth has officially reopened to guests, ushering in a new era of 5-star elegance that takes inspiration from Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s Asian heritage and the beauty of Western Australia.

Pan Pacific Perth is the largest of the Group’s six properties in Australia and a flagship hotel for the brand, first opening as a Sheraton in 1973 before relaunching as Pan Pacific Perth in 2011.

The 488-key Perth CBD property embarked on the full reno in May 2023, which included the guestrooms and suites, lobby, Pan Pacific Club Lounge and more than 2,500sqm of meeting and event spaces – also the largest in the WA capital.

Designed by FDAT Architects, the hotel’s refreshed interiors offer guests a blend of modern luxury and local charm.

Pan Pacific Perth’s transformation also blends luxury with purpose, reflecting the Group’s commitment to sustainability.

Innovative features include decorative panels made from repurposed denim, hand-pressed natural herbs and furniture made of 100 per cent recycled ocean plastics, each crafted to reduce waste and celebrate natural materials.

The Group was also recently recognised as the first hospitality brand in Oceania to receive the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) Multi-site certification for all six Australian properties.

Aligning with the unveiling, the onsite UMA Spanish, Chinese and Japanese restaurant debuts a new signature South American-inspired menu from Executive Chef Xerxes Bodhanwala.

Pan Pacific Perth General Manager Rens Breur said: “We are incredibly proud of this transformation, which not only reaffirms our commitment to luxury and sustainability but also strengthens our identity as a place of celebration – something we’ve proudly been for over three decades.”

“This refurbishment is more than a revitalisation of our guest rooms and event spaces; it’s a meaningful evolution that reflects our core values and underscores our continued investment in Perth’s vibrant hospitality landscape.

“For so many, Pan Pacific Perth has been the backdrop to life’s milestone moments. With this transformation, we’re elevating that legacy – enhancing our offering to deliver exceptional experiences,” he said.
