Azamara has expanded its Australia and New Zealand sales team with two new Business Development Manager roles following recent recognition for the region at the cruise line’s global sales summit.
The move reinforces the cruise line’s focus on trade-first support across the region, with a growing team dedicated to building and maintaining strong industry partnerships.
Justin Southern has been appointed Business Development Manager for Australia. He brings more than three decades of experience across BIG4 Holiday Parks Australia, Virgin Voyages, and Lindblad Expeditions/National Geographic.

Fran Gildon steps into the newly created role of Business Development Manager for New South Wales and New Zealand. She has previously held sales roles at Collette and Uniworld River Cruises.
New hires join Azamara’s award-winning ANZ team
The appointments follow Azamara‘s recognition at the Azamara Global Sales Conference in Miami, where the Australia/New Zealand division was named Top International Sales Team.
Shannon Morgan received the Top International Salesperson award, while Georgia Bell was recognised for Top International Sales Support. The two new BDMs join a growing team that also includes a 10-person call centre based in Australia.
“I am extremely proud of the Australian team’s achievements and thrilled to welcome Justin and Fran as we continue to add more support for the trade,” Azamara Director of Sales Australia/New Zealand Victoria Chigwidden.
Southern is expected to draw on his experience across touring, expedition and contemporary cruising to support trade partners in Australia. Gildon is known for her industry relationships and growth-focused mindset, with particular strengths in the New South Wales and New Zealand markets.

Both have backgrounds in delivering unique and immersive travel experiences, aligning with the cruise line’s focus on longer stays and cultural connections through its Destination Immersion® program.
