Four Seasons opens wellness-led AMAALA resort on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast

Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA at Triple Bay is now open, a 202-room wellness-focused property on Saudi Arabia's northwestern Red Sea coast.

Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA at Triple Bay is now open, a 202-room wellness-focused property on Saudi Arabia’s northwestern Red Sea coast.

The resort marks Four Seasons’ latest collaboration with Red Sea Global, the developer behind Saudi Arabia’s expanding luxury tourism push, built around an ethos of purpose-driven wellness.

Designed by Dubai-based architects U+A, the resort has 202 guest rooms, suites and garden villas, all with sea views.

The wellness centre is the property’s anchor: the 2,095 square metre HYLIAA Wellness & Spa has a fitness centre, five pools, six open-air dining venues and includes a 900-metre swimmable beach.

Days can start with sunrise yoga on the beach, sound healing sessions, interaction with visiting practitioners, guided walks and night hikes, culinary workshops, Islamic poetry readings, and guided stargazing and astrology.

Guests are also able to participate in volunteer projects as part of the Four Seasons for Good program.

AMAALA general manager Ulf Bremer says what’s truly exciting is the intentional approach to wellness that extends throughout the entire destination.

“It’s so much more than a spa resort: it’s a place where individuals can define their own wellbeing, with abundant opportunities for cultural exploration, natural discovery, personal growth and more than a little indulgence at Four Seasons and beyond.”

Who it suits

The resort works for couples and honeymooners as well as families, with a supervised Kids For All Seasons program and a dedicated teen club.

Beyond the resort, Triple Bay includes the Corallium marine life institute, designed by Foster + Partners, with dedicated tours for Four Seasons guests, as well as a yacht club and marina village.

The opening is the latest milestone in a busy year for the brand, which is marking its 65th anniversary with 60 projects underway and the launch of its first superyacht.
