Manly Pacific to become Elysium Manly in major luxury rebrand

Manly Pacific, one of Sydney's most recognisable beachfront hotels, will transition in August to luxury brand Elysium Manly, following a near-$40 million transformation.

Manly Pacific, one of Sydney’s most recognisable beachfront hotels, will transition in August to luxury brand Elysium Manly, following a near-$40 million transformation.

The move will mark the Sydney debut of Australian luxury hospitality brand Elysium and its second hotel after launching in Noosa.

The hotel will remain under the leadership of General Manager Dylan Cole, with existing bookings honoured and the property’s core accommodation, dining and guest offering continuing through the transition.

What changed at the property

In 2025 the hotel completed a transformation valued at close to $40 million, including a $30 million refurbishment of guestrooms and suites led by Coco Republic.

The investment also delivered the $8.5 million Cibaria, an Italian restaurant by chefs Alessandro and Anna Pavoni, designed by interiors studio Luchetti Krelle. Cibaria has since earned a Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Hat.

Alongside Cibaria, the dining line-up includes hotel bar 55 North and Bistro Manly. Facilities span a rooftop pool, infrared sauna and dedicated conference and events spaces, useful for advisors handling incentive and small-group business.

The hotel has recorded its strongest occupancy, average daily rate and revenue performance to date since the enhancements were introduced, according to Elysium.

What Elysium brings to Manly

The existing Coco Republic interiors remain, complemented by in-room amenities aligned to the Elysium standard, drawing on Parisian house Hermes, British spa brand ESPA and Australian skincare label Grown Alchemist.

Sensory touches will be woven through the property, including floral installations by florist Saskia Havekes of Grandiflora, a bespoke fragrance and a soundscape curated by Mitchell Wick that shifts through the day.

Elysium Manly will continue under general manager Dylan Cole, providing continuity for guests, partners and staff.

“Manly Pacific has built a strong reputation as one of Sydney’s most iconic hotels in the Australian landscape, and this next chapter allows us to build on that foundation with a more considered expression of coastal luxury,” Elysium Manly general manager Dylan Cole says.

“The investment made across accommodation, design, dining and service has transformed the guest experience. Elysium brings those elements together under a singular vision, while continuing to deliver the warmth, authenticity and sense of place that our guests value most.”

How the two Elysium properties are run

Elysium Manly and Elysium Noosa are sister properties, owned in partnership between the Karedis and Laundy families.
