Malaysia Airlines’ flight MH148 from Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur has made a turn-back to Melbourne Airport.
MH148 had 300 passengers on-board and passengers were being disembarked whilst the Airbus 330 was being inspected by Malaysia Airlines’ engineers and ground personnel.
According to a statement from Malaysia Airlines this afternoon the preliminary inspection hasn’t revealed any physical evidence of fire externally however further assessment is underway.
Malaysia Airlines states that safety is of the utmost importance to the airline and more information will be released when available.
